Actions Speak Louder Than Words? Even Babies Know Better.

Do you believe “actions speak louder than words”?

If you said yes, I hope your idea of problem-solving at work or home isn’t a fist fight. 😉

I believe the saying “actions speak louder than words” is incomplete.

Words are a potent way to inspire action at work, home, and other contexts. Famous speeches like “I have a dream” show how powerful words can be. Problems begin when our actions don’t back up our words.

Learn some ideas to help you consider how this applies to your life, plus wisdom from my 2-year-old, in the interactive video below. 💡

Maybe you’ve made up your mind already. Have you considered these key points?

  1. Words are potent.
  2. When actions contradict words, you lose trust.
  3. In learning, behavior > words. And words + behavior > behavior.
  4. Lead by example to build trust.
  5. Remember to use “more than words”.

Conclusion

The moral of this post is… even babies know to look for more than words. This comes pre-installed. 🙂

We’re all teachers, like it or not, and we should consider how our behavior backs up our words. Or doesn’t. 😅

Actions speak louder than words generally, but words speak loudest when backed up by actions.

I hope you’re inspired to use more than words going forward.

What next? 💪

Here are 3 things you can do right now to get the most out of this.

  1. If you said to yourself “I’ll stick through till the end” and backed that up with action, good job! Let us know in the comments by typing #finisher.

  2. Share one area in your life that would benefit from a “more than words” approach this coming week in the comments below.

  3. Tag, or get, someone you trust to hold you accountable.

As always, I want to challenge you to #GrowTheGood in your life and the lives around you.
